About 24 Hour Towing Queens
Independent, family-operated tow truck service based in Forest Hills, Queens. Real dispatch, transparent pricing, no third-party booking apps adding surge fees.
How we operate
The whole point of the company is short: real dispatch picks up the phone at any hour, gives you a firm quote on the call, and the same dispatcher routes the closest right-equipped truck. The driver is paid by us, drives our truck, carries our insurance. The receipt matches the verbal quote. No call-center middlemen, no booking-app surge fees, no upsell scripts at the curb.
Where we work from
Our base is at 105-13 Metropolitan Ave Suite 109, Forest Hills, NY 11375 — a few blocks from Yellowstone Blvd, the LIE service road, and the Queens Blvd corridor. From there our trucks reach the western waterfront in Astoria and LIC, the eastern Bayside line, and everything between.
What we do
Standard light and medium-duty towing for cars, SUVs, vans, motorcycles, and small commercial vehicles. Full roadside menu — jumpstarts, lockouts, flat tire changes, fuel delivery. Accident recovery once NYPD has cleared the scene. Long-distance transport across the tri-state area when called for.
What we don't do: highway and parkway recovery (NYPD-rotation territory inside the five boroughs), heavy-duty class 7-8 wrecker work (different equipment class), and predatory parking-lot tows (we won't tow your car off private property without your consent).
Equipment
Wheel-lift trucks for standard FWD and RWD vehicles. Rollback flatbeds for AWD, EVs, lowered cars, classics, and any vehicle that requires it. Heavy-duty 12V/24V jump packs that work on cold V8s and diesels where consumer pocket packs give up. Non-destructive lockout tools — wedges, reach rods, and adapters specific to current-model Hyundai, Honda, and Sprinter door designs. Fuel delivery in DOT-rated steel cans, gas and diesel kits separated to eliminate cross-contamination.
Insurance and licensing
Licensed and insured under NY State and NYC Department of Transportation regulations. Commercial auto liability, garage liability, on-hook cargo insurance, and workers' comp coverage. NYC tow trucks must register with the NYC TLC and carry posted plates and DOT identifiers — ours do. The insurance and licensing is what separates legitimate operators from off-the-books cash tow drivers; the difference matters when something goes wrong.
How we handle insurance
Direct billing arrangements with the major roadside programs: Geico Emergency Roadside Service, Allstate Motor Club, State Farm Emergency Road Service, Progressive Roadside Assistance, USAA Roadside Assistance, AAA Northeast, Better World Club, and most extended-warranty programs (Endurance, CARCHEX, Honda Care, Toyota Care, Tesla Roadside). On the call we verify your coverage; if your policy reimburses after the fact, we provide an itemized receipt that adjusters accept without push-back.
Languages we speak
Queens is one of the most linguistically diverse counties in the United States. Our dispatchers and drivers handle calls in English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese without needing a third-party translator on the line. We also have informal coverage for Albanian, Russian, Korean, and a handful of others — call anyway if you're more comfortable in a different language and we'll do our best.
How we price
Prices are listed publicly on the homepage and on every service page. No "call for pricing" routine. Local tow $75 hookup + $4/loaded mile. Flatbed $95 hookup + $4/mile. Jumpstart $50. Lockout $55. Flat tire change $55. Fuel delivery $65 + fuel cost. Motorcycle from $110. Long distance $4/mile with hookup waived for jobs over 50 miles. Accident recovery from $125. Holiday and severe-weather surcharges quoted on the call when applicable. The driver collects exactly the quoted amount.
What we don't promise
We don't promise specific arrival times. NYC traffic and weather make fixed-time guarantees dishonest — anyone giving you "we'll be there in 12 minutes" without checking live traffic is making it up. We give honest ETAs based on real conditions and update by text if anything changes en route. We don't promise specific star ratings or response-time medals — those are marketing copy, not commitments.
